Council publishes July newsletter

The Council has released the latest edition of its Spotlight on Sentencing Circular.

The newsletter features information on sentencing across Scotland, as well as updates on the Council’s work and the sentencing guidelines currently in development or in force.

Key highlights featured in this edition include:

  • information on our public consultation on a draft sentencing guideline for domestic abuse
  • our new video and webpage which explain the sentencing process and allow viewers to play the role of a judge
  • the appointment of our new sheriff member
  • a report on the Council's 10-year anniversary conference
