Appointments Regulations enter into force

The Scottish Sentencing Council (Procedure for Appointment of Members) Regulations 2015 entered into force on 27 June 2015.

The Regulations provide for the procedure to be followed when appointing judicial and legal members to the Scottish Sentencing Council.

The Scottish Ministers are responsible for appointing the lay members of the Council.  An announcement on the plans for recruitment exercises will be made during July 2015.
