Catherine Dyer, the prosecutor member of the Council, has been awarded a CBE for her services to law and order.

 

 

New Lord President

The Council’s Chair, Lord Carloway, has been appointed as the new Lord President of the Court of Session, head of Scotland’s judiciary. This means he will automatically vacate his Council position once installed in early January.
