2017-18 Annual Report

29th October 2018

The Scottish Sentencing Council’s third Annual Report was submitted to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice on Wednesday 19 September. It was subsequently laid before Parliament on Tuesday 25 September.

Causing death by driving offences - Literature review

1st October 2018

Dr Rachel McPherson and Professor Cyrus Tata, from the Centre for Law, Crime & Justice at Strathclyde University, were commissioned by the Scottish Sentencing Council to carry out a literature review examining current sentencing practice and knowledge around causing death by driving offences.

Minutes of 3 September meeting

The draft minutes and public papers from the Scottish Sentencing Council meeting, held on Monday 3 September, have now been published.

Applications now invited to fill two positions on Scottish Sentencing Council

Applications are now being invited to fill solicitor member and Justice of the Peace positions on the Scottish Sentencing Council at an exciting time for the organisation.

 

New resources for Modern Studies teachers published
